tropics in the metropolis
concept weddings are fast becoming a fad. and the more choices one has for that very special venue, the better. we could have opted for a garden wedding because that’s what my s.o. has always been dreaming of. however, my devout mother-in-law will not settle for anything less than a catholic church ceremony.
another major consideration is the proximity of the church to the reception venue, not to mention the ample parking space for the convenience of our guests.
fernwood gardens was able to address all our concerns – and more. dubbed as the ultimate garden wedding venue in the country, fernwood gardens boasts of its magnificent 40 and 60-feet high translucent sky domes allowing our dream “garden” wedding without the hassle of bad weather.
this sprawling 2-hectare property also boasts of rainforest type gardens with lagoons, waterfalls, exotic birds and fishes. the green house effect of the dome must have produced those healthy fern plants. we also particularly enjoyed the swan and the koi and the exotic birds.
the st. francis of assisi chapel, which is under the supervision of mt. carmel parish, is just a few steps away from the gardens. thus, ensuring a hassle-free transport from the ceremony to the reception.
the place is simply unique and breathtaking. fernwood gardens is known as the favorite for weddings and with good reason. it is a beautiful garden venue that has left a lasting impression to our families, friends and guests on such a memorable occasion.
